Day 4. Beechworth (BLD)

This morning we enjoy a scenic drive to the stunning town of Beechworth. Here we will enjoy touring the many historic sites that Beechworth has to offer.

There will be free time to explore the main street where you will find the famous lolly shop, Beechworth Honey and have lunch at the famous Beechworth Bakery.

We will then visit the Old Beechworth Gaol and join a tour guide who has some amazing stories. The Old Beechworth Gaol is one of Australia’s most significant cultural sites.

It’s role in the chain of events that led to the execution of Ned Kelly is significant as it housed Ellen Kelly, Ned Kelly’s mother as well as many of Kelly’s supporters.

After this interesting insight into Australia’s past, we head back to our accommodation in Albury for dinner and a relaxing night.
