The Hawkesbury Riverboat Postman – 5th October 2022

It’s a great day for a cruise today as we head off to join the Riverboat postman on his rounds, Enjoy morning tea as you board this morning at Brooklyn. Enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Lower Hawkesbury river as we deliver mail and other essentials to the river access only settlements up river from Brooklyn in all types of weather, after all, “the mail must get through”
The first riverboat postman started in 1910 and the tradition continues today. The skippers are locals so be entertained by the stories of the river whilst cruising in comfort. A Ploughman’s plate lunch of shaved ham and salad will be served on board and dietary requests are available. A bar is also aboard for your drinks, at your own expense.
