Day 7

STEAM TRAIN MAGIC !  All aboard for the Port Augusta to Quorn and return on the 2 hour round trip on the Afghan Express.  Hear the steam hiss, guard’s whistle clearing the driver to leave the platform, coal being shovelled into furnace, piston starts to move, speeds up, train whistle, sound of the steam locomotive fades and you’re on your way.  See the ancient Flinders Ranges landscape unfold before you.  What a fabulous way to start the day.
