Day 9

This morning we hit the road to Parachilna via the historic copper mining town of Blinman. Blinman is surrounded by spectacular hilly desert countryside.  Here we take a break for morning tea and wander through this quaint historical village BUT first you have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Blinman Mine or Wheal Blinman as it was called in 1862. When the mine tour is complete it is time to make yourself acquainted with some of the locals at the Blinman, and we set upon the ‘Pub in the Scrub’ for lunch.  After lunch we are back on the track towards Parachilna, the hip Outback hotel….where the desert meets the Flinders Ranges.  A word of caution, dinner tonight is pretty awesome!
